Any corporate body or person engaged or interested in commerce
or trade between France and New Zealand is eligible as a candidate for
membership, and after election in the manner described below, shall upon
payment of the requisite membership dues, become a member of the Council.
Terms
of memberships
The number of members shall be unlimited.
The Board of
Directors shall approve each applicant by resolution.
Each applicant for
admission shall apply in writing using the form approved by the Board of
Directors giving the name of the applicant, the nature of the applicant's
business and such other information as may be required. In the case of
corporations, the name of the person whom it authorises as its
representative shall be stated.
Memberships
dues
Memberships dues in respect of each class of members for the
coming year shall be determined by a majority vote of the Annual General
Meeting. For the current year, the fees are as follows (fees include GST):
NZ$180 (plus GST) for
individuals
NZ$300 (plus GST) for
companies with 11 or less employees
NZ$480 (plus GST) for
companies with 11 or more employees.

Termination
Of Membership
A member may be suspended for:
Non-payment
of dues
Being
guilty of conduct considered by the Board of Directors unbecoming or
prejudicial to the council
A
member shall cease to be a member of the council by giving to the secretary
notice in writing to that effect, which shall be considered at the next
meeting of the Board of Directors. Even if a member's resignation is
accepted, it shall not relieve the member from payment of dues for the
current financial year unless waived by a resolution of the Board of
Directors.
A
member, (whether corporate or individual) shall cease to be a member, and
the appointment of the member's accredited representative shall thereupon
lapse, if or when the member is adjudicated bankrupt, or compounds with the
member's creditors or passes a winding up resolution or has a winding up
order issued by the Court, provided however that the corporation or
individual shall be eligible for re-election on obtaining satisfaction or
discharge.
