The direct representative of the French Ministry of Foreign Trade Relations in New Zealand, the DGTPE is of interest to all economic entities wishing to develop economic relationships between France and New Zealand. Its activity is focused on three areas:
To analyse the economic and financial conditions of access to the New Zealand market in order to foster commercial and financial cooperation between France and New Zealand.
To support the commercial efforts of French exporting companies as well as French companies already established in New Zealand. On the one hand, the DGTPE promotes French investment in New Zealand by informing the local business community and State sector of the French offering; and on the other hand, in partnership with the French Agency for International Investments, the DGTPE promotes the many advantages of France as a marketplace for foreign investors.
Through its data collection and analysis activity, the DREE helps compile French and European proposals within the context of multilateral authorities. The DGTPE is also the local representative of French authorities for financial and commercial issues arising from regional and multilateral relationships.
